Who are we
We are a group of students passionate about gardening, sustainability, and protecting our environment. VERDI was created from our shared desire to turn that passion into action — by promoting eco-friendly living and raising awareness about air pollution and environmental challenges in Chiang Mai.
Through our products and community initiatives, we aim to make sustainability simple, practical, and enjoyable for everyone. We believe that small actions — like choosing biodegradable materials or planting something green — can lead to a big change for our planet.
Our mission is to inspire people to reconnect with nature, enjoy gardening, and take part in creating a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful Earth.
our process
At VERDI, collaboration is at the heart of our innovation. We are proudly working with the Faculty of Agro-Industry at Chiang Mai University (CMU) to co-develop our sustainable materials and product designs. This partnership ensures that every VERDI product not only meets high-quality standards but also reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility and community empowerment.
Through this collaboration, we combine academic research, scientific testing, and real-world application to turn agricultural waste—such as maize and rice husks—into fully biodegradable products that fit Thailand’s climate and consumer needs. The CMU Agro Industry team provides valuable technical expertise in formulation, food safety, and biodegradability testing, helping us refine our process from concept to prototype.
Together, we are creating practical solutions that address Thailand’s PM2.5 pollution crisis while offering farmers an alternative source of income. Our process represents more than manufacturing—it’s a model of sustainable innovation built on research, local collaboration, and shared values.
